Sustainable Packaging
“Around 30 million tonnes of household waste is generated in the UK every year, of which 5.9 million is packaging”
A simple box could be reused multiple times, before being discarded, if it is consider beautiful enough to keep within ones home. It could become a subject of play for a child developing a young imagination. Packaging is a work of art in its own rights, and being more aware of how it could develop beyond its primary function, can have a much greater positive impact, both socially and environmentally.
Made In Sheffield
Tasked with the creation of a series of 12 tiles, through which to narrate a story of Sheffield, I designed a series of digital collages as a celebration of Sheffield’s heritage, its evolution, and its regeneration.
Selecting a singular narrative from the choice of so many, proved to be too difficult, so I chose to include elements that reflect the industrial heritage which gave the city its world renowned status, paired with elements which continue to make the city an inspiring destination; such as its unique and vibrant street art, which has transformed the city into a 367.9 km external art space
